Mountain High School is proud to announce the overwhelming success of its recent charity event, which raised over $10,000 for local animal shelters. The event, held on June 3rd, featured a range of activities including a pet adoption fair, a silent auction, and a community picnic. The initiative garnered extensive support from students, parents, and local businesses, highlighting the school’s strong commitment to community service.
One of the attendees, Sarah Thompson, expressed her admiration for the event, saying, “It’s heartwarming to see our community come together for such a great cause. The dedication of the students and staff at Riverview High School is truly inspiring, and it’s wonderful to know that our contributions will make a significant difference for the animals in need.”
Mr. David Carson, the director of the local animal shelter, also praised the school’s efforts. “The generosity and hard work displayed by MHS are nothing short of amazing. The funds raised will go a long way in providing care and resources for the animals. We are deeply grateful for the community’s support and the school’s initiative.”
The event was coordinated by Mrs. Lisa Harper, an MHS social studies teacher and head of the Community Service Club. Reflecting on the success, she said, “Our students have shown incredible leadership and compassion through this event. They’ve learned the value of giving back and the impact that collective effort can have on our community. We couldn’t be prouder of their achievements and the support we’ve received from everyone involved.”
The funds raised will be distributed among several local shelters, providing much-needed supplies, medical care, and support for animal adoption programs. Mountain High School looks forward to continuing its tradition of community service and making a positive impact in the lives of both animals and people.
